Mitsubishi Motors Unveils 6th-Generation L200 Triton Pickup in Global Debut
Mitsubishi Motors Corporation has unveiled its highly anticipated 6th-generation L200 Triton one-ton pickup truck in a world premiere event held in Bangkok, Thailand. The launch marks a significant milestone for the Japanese automaker, with sales of select versions commencing immediately in the Thai market.
The all-new Triton, fully redesigned for the first time in nine years, is built on the product concept “Power for Adventure.” Mitsubishi has reimagined every aspect of the vehicle, from its exterior and interior design to the chassis, ladder frame, and engine.

“With production ultimately expected to reach 200,000 vehicles in over 100 countries, the all-new Triton is an extremely important model that will provide foundational support for Mitsubishi Motors, as well as the first global strategic vehicle to be rolled out at the start of our growth phase.”
The launch in Thailand is just the beginning of Mitsubishi’s global rollout plan. The company has announced that exports will initially focus on other ASEAN and Oceania markets in the coming months. Additionally, the new Triton is scheduled for launch in Japan in early 2024, marking its return to the domestic market after a 12-year absence.
